We are SO excited to announce that we are now offering Pilates at Awake Pelvic Health & Wellness! Pilates-based exercise has so many benefits for both your personal fitness practice as well as while you are in physical therapy journey! We can use movements on the Pilates Reformer to help with muscle strength, mobility, balance, and coordination…all of which are important to your pelvic floor PT journey.
A Pilates reformer is a type of Pilates equipment that allows you to do a wide variety of dynamic strengthening, stretching, and mobility exercises. We can work many muscles though a large range of motion, which is ideal for building and toning muscles as well as increasing stability through the joints. Plus, all Pilates Reformer exercises can be modified and tailored for pregnant mamas!
