Ready to feel more connected, centered, and strong—from the inside out? Join Viki, owner of The Pilates Body, and Dr. Hannah Strom + Dr. Bridget Bates, pelvic floor physical therapists from Awake Pelvic Health & Wellness, for a one-of-a-kind workshop that blends pelvic floor education, intentional movement, and mind-body release through Pilates and Yamuna Body Rolling.
We’ll kick things off with a fresh perspective on your core and pelvic floor—what these muscles actually do, why they matter, and how things like hip tension, ab pooching, back pain, leaking, or painful intimacy may all tie back to pelvic floor imbalances. (Hint: it’s not always about weakness!)
You’ll learn:
Why "pulling in your abs" and gripping isn’t always helping
The difference between tension vs. strength
How your breath, posture, and even your feet play a role in pelvic floor function
What a “trampoline-like” pelvic floor really feels like (and why you want that!)
Then it’s time to feel it all in your body. Viki will guide you through mat Pilates flow and Yamuna Body Rolling session, intentionally crafted to bring awareness to your breath, core, and pelvic floor. You’ll move through a grounded Pilates sequence that strengthens and supports deep core muscles while reinforcing the concepts from the workshop.
With the Yamuna balls, you’ll experience how body rolling can help release tension, improve fascial mobility, and give you a deeper connection to your body. It’s restorative, powerful, and the perfect complement to everything you’ve just learned.
Expect to move, breathe, learn, and leave with a deeper understanding of your body—and the tools to support it in both your Pilates practice and everyday life. This workshop is perfect for anyone curious about core strength, pelvic floor health, and intentional movement. All bodies welcome – no prior Pilates experience needed!
